Siwert Bergströms contribution didn't go unnoticed, in 1992 he had the honor to receive France's finest culture award, Chevalier des Art et des Lettres from president Mitterand's himself. On the day of the ceremony Siwert was stuck in traffic, he stopped a passing police motorcycle, showed the invitation and was then escorted with sirens to the Elyssépalace.
The gallery has participated in many art fairs over the years such as FIAC, for these happenings limited posters were made so that admirers of the original painting could bring something to their home as well.
Siwerts' passion for the gallery that was his life’s work will continue by his two sons Thomas and Karl-Johan who will preserve his contribution to the art world with the same spirit.
